“HIGHEST STANDARDS.” SERIOUSLY?

8.28.15 NYT “An S.E.C. Settlement With Citicorp That Fails to Name Names.” Citi’s “Value Proposition” includes the following statement: ” We strive to earn and maintain the public’s trust by constantly adhering to the highest ethical standards.” Investors lost $2 billion. The bank cut a deal that holds no one responsible. Seriously? That represents the “highest ethical standards”?
