“The disposition of the Ellen Pao case should remind everyone of the difference between ‘illegal’ and ‘unethical.’ The case demonstrated that even if the verdict favored the company, it doesn’t change the fact that there’s clearly much going on in the industry that’s unethical. The good news is that so much attention was given to a way of doing business that doesn’t belong in the kind of country we say we are. You don’t leave America when you go to work.”
