TWITTER: PROFITS ABOVE PRINCIPLE (AGAIN)

“The Twitter Rules” clearly ban harassment: “You may not incite or engage in the targeted abuse or harassment of others.” For months, Donald Trump did exactly that with impunity.  Most recently, he targeted a union leader who challenged Trump’s claims about the Carrier jobs. In addition to being harassed by Trump, the union boss subsequently received threats from others.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey calls Twitter’s relationship with Trump “complicated” and “fascinating.” Apparently, he has no problem letting Twitter be a platform for bullies as long as it makes him money. If Dorsey had a spine, he’d enforce the company’s own rules.
